We should have met years ago…Growing up in Central Minnesota, wandering the mall in St. Cloud, skiing at Powder Ridge, or living just blocks apart in Uptown… Our paths should have crossed many times. Yet it wasn’t until August of 2017 our lives intersected.Though attraction and chemistry were obvious, timing worked against us. Our paths crossed several more times over the years and though it was always a reminder of our connection, life’s complications always seemed to get in the way.As years passed and lives changed, a familiar face reappeared online in 2024 under the official title of “someone you might know.” A simple reconnection quickly became something much more. Calm, certain, unmistakably right, and most importantly, no life complications standing in the way. We found not just love, but a partnership built on understanding, patience, and the shared realization that sometimes the best things in life really do come to those who wait.These days, when not racing down the ski slopes, you’ll find us wandering the lakes with the pups, catching a ball game, or enjoying a festive game with family &amp; friends.A love of old world flair permeates many areas of our life; from morning coffee over jazz and exploring antique markets, to searching out swanky restaurants and speakeasies wherever we are. It feels only fitting we incorporate the timeless fun, glamour and vintage flair of the Great Gatsby era into our wedding celebration.We’re so grateful our story led us here, and we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter together with everyone.

Explore the Minneapolis Institute of Art (MIA)The Minneapolis Institute of Art is one of the largest art museums in the Midwest and features an incredible collection spanning thousands of years and cultures. Things to Do Within Walking Distance of The DepotIf you’re staying near our venue, there are several great spots you can easily walk to while exploring downtown Minneapolis. Stone Arch Bridge – One of Minneapolis’ most iconic landmarks, this historic pedestrian bridge offers beautiful views of the Mississippi River and the downtown skyline. St. Anthony Main &amp; Riverfront Area – A charming historic district across the river with restaurants, patios, and scenic riverfront walking paths. Mill City Museum &amp; Mill Ruins Park – Built inside the ruins of a historic flour mill, this museum tells the story of Minneapolis’ milling history and has great views of the river. Gold Medal Park – A peaceful park near the river with walking paths and a grassy hill that offers great views of the city. The North Loop – One of Minneapolis’ most popular neighborhoods for restaurants, breweries, and shopping. It’s a great area to explore in the evening. The Monte Carlo - Established in 1906, the Monte Carlo is one of Minneapolis's landmark establishments offering a great place for a weekday lunch, evening meal or a Sunday brunch. The Monte Carlo features dishes from steaks and chops to seafood and our famous chicken wings in a relaxed surrounding. The copper-topped bar, intimate booths in the main dining room, an expansive patio and private dining rooms, provide diners a memorable experience.
